One of my strengths in graphic design is motion design. I wanted to be able to manifest that ability in a unique way in this website. As such, this part involved two parts: the introductory animation, and the titles of the sections. I wanted both to have a "pave the way" motion methodology.

 

 

1. Create a mask within the text layer. Use the pen took to bezier-curve your way through the entire line, point by point. It doesn't matter how you go along, so long as you keep relatively close to the center. Think of it like an etch-a-sketch: one long line from start to finish.

2. Within Effects, add Stroke. Settings to insure you have: a generous enough brush size that covers the mask up in the due time, Reveal Original Image under Paint Style, Stroke Sequentially Off.

3. The layer you're concerned with for timelining is the Start Property for the effects. This will dictate how long the effect takes place.

The "Creative Alternatives"

An ever-elusive feature commonly reserved for flash modules and javascript. I ended up choosing the latter, in this case, seeing as it would be immensely easier to add–and subtract–links accordingly.

 

I'll explain the source of this further, but this is the css that I added to the external style sheet. This was, initially, meant for inline. But I decided to place it, just like all css that I do, external
