Daily Meditation – 24 Hour “I Love Myself” Challenge

You do have the ability to always keep it together. You have the ability to feel good no matter what. Even if you're beating yourself up or judging yourself or criticizing yourself or blaming yourself or hating yourself, you can choose to feel good anyway. You can choose to love yourself instead of criticizing yourself.

Breathe in and say "I love myself"
Breathe out and relax

You may have a habit, or something about yourself you wish you could change, or something you swear you're going to do differently next time. You nay have a list 100 things long of things you wish you could change about yourself right now. Behaviors you just can't seem to shake, bad habits. The good news is, you can just choose to focus on the other side of the wave. Because as many things you find to judge about yourself, you're doing things right.

Breathe in and ask yourself, "What am I doing right?"
Breathe out and ask yourself, "What am I doing right?"

It's a long list. You're breathing. You're taking the time to center yourself. You're taking care of yourself. You're making choices. You're living life. You're taking the risk of being alive. You're not making mistakes--you're doing everything right. It's all just for fun!

Breathe in and say, "I love myself"
Breathe out and say, "I love myself"

There's no shame in your game. You do what you want. You do what's natural to you. You follow your intuition. You are who you are. You're perfect the way you are.

Breathe in and say, "I love myself"
Breathe out and just be here now.

Close your eyes. Say, "I love myself. I love myself. I love myself. I love myself." Your mind may resist. It may say things like, "But wait--no I don't love myself. Here is my list of reasons why." But it is possible to love yourself for all the good things and the bad, the ups and the downs. You can choose to love yourself no matter what.

Breathe in and smile!
Breathe out and let life be simple.

Tell yourself that you'll only try saying "I love myself" for one day--24 hours from now. For the next 24 hours, let's say "I love myself" over and over instead of thinking about anything that doesn't pertain to right now.

Breathe out and say thank you to yourself for choosing to breathe deeply.

Thank yourself for awakening. Thank your body for letting you be here right now. Just say thank you to yourself. You're playing a very challenging game. And however hard it is for you, it's just as hard for everyone else. We're all in this together. But when you play the game on the "I love myself" level, everything in the game loves you too.
