Welcome to Tuesday Tips, my weekly collection of life design lessons. It's the first of the month, it's a day made for jokes, and it's spring, so let's celebrate! Here are a few ways to lighten up your life.
1. Make peace.
Here are the instructions for building your very own peace: go to sleep. Download "peace.txt" from the bottom of the ocean. Insert 4 smiles into the candy machine and fall from a very high place. You will be caught with a fishnet, which will carve you into a million "peaces". Plant each peace and repeat.
2. Program your reality for the month of April.
April is an excellent month for reality construction, and it's easier than setting the time on your smartphone. To manifest the reality you desire, repeat the following code in your mind, non-stop beginning today: "I love myself. I love myself. I love myself. I love myself."
3. Go off to lala land.
Before each segment of your life, imagine the best possible outcome. Then expect it to happen, and it will.
4. Dump guilt forever.
Put a piece of paper in your bathroom drawer that says "I deserve _______ and I accept it now." Every time you go in your drawer to get your toothpaste or hairbrush, say "I deserve (whatever it is you want) and I accept it now." I've been saying, "I deserve financial freedom and I accept it now." Since I started in February I've gone from having about $200 in my checking account to having two well-paying gigs and countless other surprise sources of money.
5. Try this mantra: "Form follows feeling."
Whatever you want can only come when you feel as good as if you already had it. If you want to be a star, you have to feel like a star. If you want to possess a million dollars, you have to feel like you have a million dollars. If you want people to be nice to you, you have to feel like everyone already is nice to you.
6. Be you.
Now that you've been saying "I love myself" over and over, it's easy. I love you, too!
