Tuesday Tips: 9 Stairways to Heaven

Tuesday Tips: 9 Stairways to Heaven

Welcome to Tuesday Tips, a weekly list of ways to realize you already have everything you want. Pull up a chair to the Now and have fun ascending!

1. Meowbify your favorite website!
No one can resist animated cat gifs. Thanks to Katherine for helping make today's post art 100% cat-friendly.

2. Rest when you want to rest.
"We are vibrational beings, not vibrational doings." ~ Mia Astral
Don't ever feel bad for not being "productive" or not doing what you think you "should" be doing. Whatever you feel like doing is what you should be doing!

3. Make more decisions in every day.
From Abraham's daily quote on Sunday:

Because a decision is a summoning of life. That's why a little chaos is good for you, because often you don't make a decision until you get yourself in a jam. And then, in the middle of the jam, you make a decision, but that decision summons Life Force. Have you ever been a place where you couldn't quite make up your mind and you just felt sort of limp? "Oh, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know." And then you decided, and you felt alive again. We want you to know that you'll never get it done. So don't approach this from, "I gotta get on this" because you're not ever going to get it done, anyway. And the other thing we want you to know is, you cannot get it wrong. So, make a decision. Let it flow.

4. Take the biggest risk.
The ballsiest thing you can do is to stop caring about that thing you care about. To stop thinking you have to "figure it out." To trust that life can handle it for you. Hop on that tightrope! Decide to not give a fuck, because you're too busy living it up to care.

5. Make today's mantra "I love you, (your name here)".
Love yourself no matter what. No matter what you do, or say, or don't do, or don't say. Do a Daily Self Love worksheet! Wayne Dyer says, "You cannot be lonely if you like the person you’re alone with."

6. Appreciate what's already working.
To improve your business, love life, finances, or health, focus on the things you like that you already have. In business, you can appreciate your current clients, or take special note of the things that you do effortlessly. In love, appreciate the people you have great relationships with. Notice the ways money comes easily to you. Think about how your body is amazing at healing. When you look for existing success, you'll keep finding more.

7. Give the gift of a good mood.
No one will pass up the opportunity to leech off of someone's good mood. Be the seed!

8. Say what you want, then be happy with what you have.
Whenever you find yourself wanting something, acknowledge exactly what it is: "I want to feel inspired," and then immediately release the desire and say, "I'm happy with what I have." Choosing to be satisfied with what you already have pulls you into appreciating the Now, and also helps you stop vibrating a feeling of lack, which keeps what you want away from you.

9. Enjoy the fruits of taking responsibility for how you feel.

I take responsibility for having created whatever's going on. If I'm letting something make me feel bad and I say to myself "I'm taking responsibility for how I feel," it just means that I know I'm choosing to feel a certain way and my reality is reflecting that back to me. When I choose to feel a different way, my reality will reflect that back to me. ~ Kelly Cree

When you practice that, it's empowering, because nothing can affect you. If you created it, you can change it by changing your thoughts right now. You are creating all of this right now. Everything is unfolding perfectly, and your only job is enjoy it. What do you want?

I think my cousin has a couple of good things to say about decisions. I have remembered these from many years back.
    1. When it came to choosing what to ‘do’ (career), if you are having trouble, just choose one, just do something—things will evolve. But, at least, even if you are on the wrong track, you are moving.
    2. About jogging: She wanted to do it. In order to do it, she had to get up and out at 5:00 in the morning—not an easy thing to do, at least in my book. So, she determined that she would decide it once. She would not put herself through the agony of deciding each morning when that alarm clock went off—‘Should I or shouldn’t I, Am I too tired? Can I really do this?’, etc. No, she decided once. That decision lasted for 5 years (meaning she jogged every single morning at 5 a.m. for 5 years.

Thank you so much Erin and Mimi!

Paula, thank you for those suggestions. Deciding ONCE is great advice. It really makes me understand my true desires, because if I can’t decide ONCE, I don’t care enough and I’ll move onto something I can decide.

And staying moving is truly all that matters – wherever you go, it’s a solution and it couldn’t happen any other way.
