Good afternoon! I am so grateful I just had the most fun weekend of my life! I'm so grateful to be getting back to work tomorrow! I'm so grateful there are cheezy potatoes in the oven! I'm so grateful I have A NEW TATTOO! I'm so grateful we had such a fun time with our out of town visitor!

I'm so grateful I get to write this post now. I'm so grateful I have so many wonderful things to share. I'm so grateful I have so many photos to put in this post! I'm so grateful I had to write an outline of all the fun things that happened yesterday so I don't forget anything!

I'm so grateful Betty drove us to Mt. Bonnell yesterday morning. I'm so grateful to have such great friends. I'm so grateful the sunrise was absolutely perfect. I love that I get to see so many sunrises and sunsets. I'm so grateful that we had pancakes for breakfast yesterday. I'm so grateful cooking vegan is so so easy. I'm so grateful we get to have salad for dinner after massively eating tons of cooked food this weekend.

I'm so grateful we took a long blissful 8.72 mile walk to the east side yesterday. I'm so grateful we got to walk our miles. I'm so grateful we got to show our friend the best of Austin. I'm so grateful we got to watch the sunset from a church fire escape.

I'm so grateful getting tattooed is my favorite sensation of the moment. I'm so grateful it's so colorful! I'm so grateful I decided earlier in the day I wanted to get the tat today, and then I mysteriously ended up at a shop after the bars closed! WTF, I couldn't plan shit to go this perfectly!

wouldn't it be nice?

Today I intend to relax and enjoy this beautiful day! Today I intend to bask in the successes of the weekend! Today I intend to lounge around and get refreshed for the week! Today I intend to feel nothing but love! Today I intend to think "wouldn't it be nice?" Today I intend to have fun and feel good! Today I intend to have the best day of my life! Today I intend to chill!

Wouldn't it be nice??
Wouldn't it be nice to be completely recharged for the week after today? Wouldn't it be nice to get lesson 7 up tomorrow? Wouldn't it be nice to post all our episodes we have queued up? Wouldn't it be nice to bask in how awesome this tattoo is? Wouldn't it be nice keep living in real time? Wouldn't it be nice to have a delicious kale salad for dinner? Wouldn't it be nice to take a hot shower? Wouldn't it be nice to always follow my inspiration? Wouldn't it be nice to have a really fun day? Wouldn't it be nice to keep scanning my sketchbooks? Wouldn't it be nice to make even more money this week? Wouldn't it be nice to keep loving myself so hard?

Some time back you hinted that you would like to have “Wouldn’t it be nice” tattooed. I somehow imagined it might have been a further development of your existing tattoos on your left arm.

Why now move to your right arm? And why so large that it dominates your inside forearm? Where did you have it done?

I like the way you have it curved rather than in a straight line, adds to its character. Did you leave the design to the tattooist or did you take a sketch of what you hoped for with you?

It did not occur to me until this evening that the phrase was also the title to a Beach Boy song. You hear it on the radio occasionally, but don’t really consider the sentiment of the lyrics. As I read them now, they speak to me of an adolescent considering a form of utopia.

Whether young or old, we are all children of the universe and probably seek our own, in one form or other, for ourselves. Well, it would be nice wouldn’t it?

I wanted to place the tattoo in a spot where I would constantly see it. My left arm is pretty full up, I couldn’t see something on my bicep as well as something on my right forearm.

So large because it balances the left arm.

I left everything up to the artist. It is his handwriting. I am very glad I did it that way. More natural. I chose the colors.

I got it done at 13 Mag in the Flesh on 6th street.

The Beach Boys really understand good vibrations don’t they.
