notes on today’s 2 mile run

WOW I feel so great to be running again! We're using this schedule to train for the Austin Half Marathon February 20th. We're starting in on week 9 I believe. We're training for a full marathon but just running the half so it will be easy! Then we'll pick back up at the halfway point and keep training for the full in Illinois in May!!

We ran about the first mile then walked the rest. We're really easing into this schedule because we almost didn't want to do it at all. But as soon as we took the first steps today, we knew we were doing the right thing.

Our feet and legs are so strong now (we're running in vibrams & have been walking in them all summer) but we need to get our breath back. It is such a fun challenge.

Running makes you breathe deeply and essentially meditate. Being on a running schedule gives structure to our lives. All of this makes us feel SO GOOD.
