Notes on today’s 5 mile vibram run in the…

This morning we ran in the rain. We had a limited time to run so were worried about not having enough time, but we blew our time away by 25 minutes. We ran the 5 in 1 hour 5 minutes, at a 13:31/mile pace, which includes one bathroom/water stop.

At first Kel was in a negative mood, which I did little to help. She said "running's boring" and a couple other things, to which I replied "you're boring" and "don't bring me down." Not very sensitive things to say, but I am growing more and more impatient with negativity and want to make every effort to only be surrounded by positivity. I apologized for being insensitive, and after a few minutes Kel got over her funk and began to enjoy the run.

We talked about affirmations, which Katelyn over at has been talking about recently as well. Today our goal is to write down our affirmations and print them out and put them next to the bed, then post about them. Our affirmations are as follows (a work in progress):

- I create meaningful experiences that help and inspire others.
- I create my own future by envisioning it clearly.
- I choose courage over fear in every decision I make.

We've also decided to devote 1 hour a day to recording and posting to, with the remainder of our work time being spent on our personal sites. This is so exciting to me! Working on my site is my absolute favorite thing in the world to do.

Lastly, I started thinking about getting into suspension piercing more. I'm going to start looking for resources in Austin. Just a thought! ;]

Running in the rain was blissful. So cool a crisp and refreshing, with a hint of thunder. Would buy again.
